My amp shorts out and cut off every time I turn up the volume. I have to turn off the radio and turn it back on for the amp to start up again. What's wrong here ? ~~~ mrp_dkc ~~~

You probably have subs wired at too low of a ohm amps are only 2 ohm stable stereo or 4 ohm bridged..unless its a mono amp class this guide to ensure proper wiring /rftech/woofer_

Answer 1amp big enough to drive your subs etc may be getting it to hot or not enough ground -would have to know more about it to diagnos it right
Answer 2if i remember correctly, thats caused from the ground wire not having a good connection or maybe your running to thin of a guage of wire for the ground or the positive. but basically when you turn up the volume, the demand for power increases and your not getting enough power or not enough ground. but it could be alot of other things also.
