the size of the wire has nothing to do with anything the subs you get and the amp will determine how loud it is because the amp will draw from the battery how much it needs to produce the sound if the amp is drawing 200 watts its going to draw 200 watts whether you have a 0 gauge wire or like a 12 gauge wire you can never go to big because when you go to small you start limiting the amount of power it will draw think of it like this the highway if its a 2 lane road and traffic is moving fine its okay but if you widen the road by a couple lanes its not going to change traffic but if you narrow it down to a 1 lane road it will slow down same basic concept kind of but for okay bass without rattle like 8gauge should be more then enough
