Answer 1see reviews..and do like phone conferrences... or ask for referrences....as if you are interviewing them from the phone or online...and ask for a resume and like photos (prints) to see how the work is...

Answer 7I think the best way to locate a vendor is word of mouth. When I was planning my wedding, I relied heavily on word of mouth from recent newlyweds and others that were planning their wedding. The discussion boards were also a great way to share anxieties and to find other girls to talk about wedding planning with so as not to bore the rest of my friends and family to death. ;) There's a discussion board on the knot specifically dedicated to Hawaii weddings. I'd start by asking the girls that are there (who are marvelously helpful) for suggestions on wedding planners. After you find the top three most popular wedding planners, then visit their websites, think of a list of questions to ask them if you want to learn more about their credentials, call them, check up on their records on the BBB, and ask for references. Actually do call or email at least two or three previous brides that they've worked for to see how they felt about the job they've done, whether they would hire the person again after they saw how the wedding actually went, etc. etc. Then you can make a more informed decision.
