Weddings : What Is The Best Type Of Wedding Formal Or Informal
I want place names and my fiance wants people to sit where ever. I have a split family and different groups of friends. I want to know where people are sitting, the trouble is my fiance and her mother want people to just sit where ever. I don't mind a bit informal, we are having a buffet#92;cavery style meal. I feel like I'm not getting listened too is this normal? ~~~ gd ~~~

Well, you cant have everyone happy. You have to go with what YOU want at YOUR wedding. So if you decide you want formal even though your best friends friends husband hates formal, too bad! Go with what takes your breath away. It all depends on budget, amount of people, and if you feel its best. It will be wonderful as long as youre happy.

I prefer an informal wedding myself, where people are free to do as they like and get to know one another rather than hanging out with their same old clicks, but this is not my wedding you are planning. Answer 8Wow, I dont miss those days at all. I loved my wedding but getting to that day was hell! I think you should do what you want to do. We had an outdoor wedding (casual setting) but it was a sit down dinner and everything else was fancy. We had place cards for each couple. I HIGHLY recommend them. My mom did weddings for 30 years and she rarely had a wedding without placecards. It just creates chaos. People like to be told where to sit because then they dont have to stand looking into the reception room feeling like an idiot not knowing where to go or if there are enough empty seats for them and the people they are with. Also, you want the people who are emotionally closest to you to be physically closest to you. HAVE PLACE CARDS!
