Many cities use numbered streets to form the first two numbers of the street address, however street addresses without numbered streets can only be determined by figuring out what the number block system is used, and how it relates to cardinal directions as seen on the typical map. Street number references may be in fine print on road maps (if you get the good ones)

Answer 3Most cities have a road that divides east/west addresses and another that divides north/south addresses. Where these roads meet is the center of town. If you divide the address by 100 it will tell you how many blocks from center. If the address is 900 West Main Street, you would be 9 blocks west of the center on Main Street at the corner of 9th and Main. Also, even addresses are on one side of the street and odd numbers are on the other, it varies by city but once you figure it out, you'll know which side of the street to look on. In the example you gave the address would be near the corner of South 12th and Toronto Drive. This works great as long as they use numbered streets otherwise, you have to learn where the named streets are located and work from there.
