"Technically correct"? What does that mean, exactly? We all know a pretty swing when we see it, but the best swing is the one that consistently works for the individual. If you can produce the same results over and over again, then it doesn't matter if your swing is technically correct or not. As long as it's technically *sound.* That's why Jim Furyk can do that loopy thing he does at the top of his swing and get away with it. lol The problem with a lot of golf instructors is that they want to change everyone's swings to look the same. But I say whatever works (well) for the individual is the swing he or she should keep. As long as you can get that clubhead back to plane before it strikes the ball and you have a good, strong follow-through, it doesn't matter what happens in the takeaway. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. . I like Ernie Els' swing the best. They don't call him The Big Easy for nothing. (And I miss Payne Stewart...his swing was a thing of beauty.) .S. I don't have a site that I know of. But I'll look around and post anything I find. ; ) 3rd . Here's an interesting article on the swings of pros and how/why they developed that way: /news/2007/feb/21/jim_suttie_why_pros_swing_way_they_do/?sports The 1st link below is a website I found that has a swing library, but I think you have to purchase it. It has a few pictures of pros' swings on the site. But the rest it looks like you have to pay for. $20. The 2nd link is a very cool slow-motion video of Tiger Woods' swing. You can see the "head dip" you referred to. It's actually not so much a head dip as a whole head-and-shoulders dip. I honestly don't know how he gets away with that! Whenever I do it, I dig a hole large enough to bury a small animal in. lol Perhaps you can find the swings of other pros on YouTube.

Answer 4Who determines what a technically correct swing looks like....but Mike Weir swings the club on an even swing plane.
Answer 5Steve Elkington is one player who springs to mind. He swings the club on a beautiful plane throughout, without having to make any compensations within the entire swing for any off plane movements. As has already been mentioned Mike Weir has a solid consistent swing.. Of Past players Sam Snead had a beautifully balanced and fluid swing. That is why he won PGA tournaments in his 50's But the swing that produced the most consistant and accurate ball striking of all time is Ben Hogan's. He was a ball striking machine. If he was playing now with modern clubs and balls, heaven knows what he would do to courses. He wouldnt be as long as Tiger and some of the others on tour but I believe he would consistently get it out around 280-90 yards (over 300 when necessary) with the driver but we are talking around the 75% fairways hit. Then couple that with arrow like irons and a strong putter super mental toughess and he would give Tiger a run for his money.
Answer 6Moe Norman, but unfortunately he took it with him when he died. You can still find his books and dvd's on Amazon. He was truly a very unique person.
Answer 7Tiger woods(not recommended for all) or Ernie Els
Answer 8Moe Norman or Ben Hogan. Amazingly easy but hard to master. Both amazing ball strikers.
Answer 9As you said, Tiger has a swing only he could get away with. I have been a golfer and a fan since I was little. One you have mastered the basics, everyone develops their own style. I really don't thinks any sportsperson is technically correct.... that is robot material.
Answer 10If you could compare then and now-Sam Snead. What an even, precise and fluid motion he had. None have ever compared but have came close.
Answer 11Ernie Els
Answer 12There is no such thing as a "Correct swing". Each golfer uses a diffrent swing because they know that they can hit that swing well. Either the swing comes from years of practice or the golfer was just born knowing how to swing the club that way. Every person has a diffrent figure (Tall, short, heavy, skinny) the swing matches there body. TigerWoodsFan.
Answer 13I like the swing of Ernie Els, Fred Couples, and Vijay Singh.
Answer 14Does anyone remember Jack Nicklaus? Surely the greatest winner of all time needs a mention here! He had the greatest ever control of a golf ball, which means he knew a thing or two about swinging his clubs - or do we have to write him off because he played mostly with a perfectly controlled fade? I'd also put Tom Watson and Hale Irwin up among the best swingers - technically! I once went to Mirasol specifically to watch and learn from . playing in the Honda Classic. His swing was a thing of beauty and his consistancy something to behold. Certainly he has to be one of the best swingers on the current PGA tour - technically speaking. His group that day included Steve Fleisch and Justin Leonard and I came away convinced that there was very little difference in all the swings I had watched that day. All three hit their selected course positions with great accuracy and worked the ball (fade and draw) to suit the course and greens. The difference which made . superior that day was on and around the greens.
