They are so secretive. It's really unhealthy to harbor all one's troubles and anxieties inside. It is especially cruel of Scorpios to attack others in the way that they do, using someone's existing insecurity to put them down. Why do they have to hurt others? Yes. I am talking about a Scorpio that I know, not Scorpios in general. How do you breaK through to a Scorpio? Is it possible? Or does time have to tell? Nope. Never stepped on a Scorpio. Trust is huge for a scorpio .... it takes a long time or an extremely kind and heartfelt gesture (they have a sixth sense for that kind of stuff so make sure its heartfelt). as for the attacks, its something that just something that alot of scorpios do, anyone with a strong scorpio presence bottles slights up intill they explode on sometimes someone in the wrong place at the wrong time. and boy when they attack they know exactly where to hit to knock someone down ....

Answer 1I am a Scorpio, and although it is true that I do keep my emotions bottled up a lot of the time, I think its a pretty wild generalization for you to say that all Scorpios act cruelly toward others. It sounds like you are talking about one person it particular, why don't you take a look at his/her particular situation? Maybe they lashed out because keeping stuff inside finally got to be too much.

In addition, I don't believe that they "have" to hurt others. I could ask the same about leos. Maybe your sign and personality just doesn't go well with scorpios. And with a question like that , I'm not suprised you feel that way. If you want a scorpio to trust you, don't assume that they all have to hurt others, and give them time, lots of time.

I am a Scorpio myself, and I love life and I love people (yes, I must have been dropped when I was a baby - or that viral infection I had when I was 3 weeks old might have had something to do with it) so I'm not a complete cynic like other scorpios. However, I posess the same 'gift' as other scorpios, which is basically pinpointing someone's weak spot in an instant and being able to find just the right way to make anyone's defence crumble. For some people, as I expect is in your case, it's insecurity. For others, it's their ego that gets blown to dust. And so on. I'll let you in on something though; Scorpios are very insecure themselves - as are ALL water signs. Cancers hide in their shell and just don't come out, Scorpio's have a defence system preventing anyone to be able to see it by instantly attacking them, Pisces just basically let it out and play the victim. So the reason why Scorpio's intentionally hurt people emotionally is not because they're mean, but because they want to protect their insecurity. They don't want anyone to know that, so facing them with it doesn't work. They have this idea they need to look indestructible, and usually they do look it, but trust me; they're NOT. Scorpio's ARE very secretive, as you well know. But there's no apparent reason for it. I suffer the same thing, and even though I'm very talkative, and very open, no one knows a damn thing about me. I had to learn the hard way some survival tactics and in an effort not to become completely hard, a person has to earn my trust now. I give them a little trust, see if it's deserved, give a little more, observe some more. If your scorpio didn't trust you, you wouldn't be around. A scorpio only strikes in self defense usually. Ask yourself what you did to them to deserve the reaction you're getting because they are reactionary. Other than that, if you are catching the sharp end of their tail then you may be threatening something dear to them. Have you ever asked them what is bothering them???? The thing is if they are stinging you, they AREN'T being secretive. They are letting you know that you're stepping on them.
