No Hep C is super, super hard to transmit. If your Hep C is cleared, that means you have NO active viral particles in your blood. That is good! Even if you have chronic positive, it is still hard to transmit, for example, my husband's mother has had it since before he was even born. He does not have it, and his dad does not have it. So, you see it does not transmit so easily. I would not be freaking out at this point at all.

Answer 2whether or not your sustained naturally or chronic infected with hcv, chances of contracting hcv through sex is about .06%. most doctors will tell a couple it is up to you to wear condoms because most couples have one partner infected where the other isn't. it is very difficult to contract hcv via sexual intercourse. you need to be tested once a year to see if it re-activates. truthfully i have never met a hepper who has cleared the virus on their own. i was told i was a carrier that the virus was inactive, but that was further from the truth. regardless, just make sure there is no blood to blood transmission- normal sexual experiences do not transfer blood or create enough friction to cause an open wound in the non infected. good luck!
