If I go outside without my sunglasses the sun kills my eyes. I squint and tear up like crazy! The amount of lubricating tears produced by the eyes can vary depending on whether the eye is at rest or under stress. When you are exposed to bright sunlight over time it starts to damage the macula. The macula is the central part of the retina that allows us to see fine details. As soon as you are exposed to bright sunlight your eyes go into a defense mode. Your eyes produce extra layers of tears so that less UV radiation make it to your macula. Make sure you have sunglasses handy!

This time of the year is bad as the pollen seeds on the willow is rife this time of year and their are many airborn pollens that you cannot see. In fact this time of the year is often worse than the summer months for those of us who suffer from pollen allergies. Get it checked out with the doctor. And of course the wind it still very raw which makes the eyes water at the best of times. I hope things improve for you....and stay clear of wooden areas and hosts of golden daffodils for the time being.. Things may improve once the first flush of spring is over.

Answer 7I'm so glad you've asked this, my eyes run like crazy whenever i go outside. I thought it was just a reaction to make-up, but it happens when i have no make-up on. Sometimes the tears are running down my neck before i have chance to get a hanky out of my bag.
Answer 8Um I am not sure, you did not give much information. Let me ask, do you have allergies? What type of weather do you have where you live? Perhaps its the wind or your eyes are sensitive to certain weather conditions maybe the outdoors in general. So its either that or you are very depressed/sad.
