Standards Testing : What Are The Eligibility Guidlines For AP Exams And How Would I Register
I just finished my Junior Year of HS, and I'm taking all college credit courses as a Senior. The . I'm taking include Calculus, Biology, Economics, English, and Italian. I already know I can take the AP Exams for these classes, but how do I register? Also, I've taken Honors US History and some other Honors classes, would I be eligible to take the AP Exams? ~~~ Edward Gaweda ~~~

If your school is like mine, you should just be able to pick up a registration form sometime next spring and register for the tests you want to take. If not, you can register through the college board website. There's no eligibility requirement to take an AP exam; the only requirement is that you pay. My only caveat to you is that the AP exams can be extremely difficult if you haven't taken an in-depth AP level class (with dbq's, essays, and practice exams). I know that I never would have considered taking the AP USH exam if I had only taken an honors US history course. Of course, it depends on how long ago you learned the material and how in-depth you studied. I would ask your honors teachers if they think the work you did in class was enough to prepare you to take the exam without taking an AP class. You've already got quite a bit on your plate, so I'd recommend sticking to just the classes you're already enrolled in. Plus, when you find out which college you're going to, or what your future plans are, you may decide that you don't need or want to take some of your AP exams. I took four AP exams my senior year, and ended up enrolling at a college that doesn't accept them.
