What is the process of applying to postgrad programs like? Do I still need all the requirements as programs in US? For example, if I was interested in a MA or MBA program do I still need to take GRE or GMAT? Is there a UK equivalent? And if so, how important are they compared to GPA? Do i still need 3 recommendations from professors and employers? Personal statement? Also how difficult is it in terms of GPA, is a a minimum requirement like it is here in the states? ~~~ cookiedoh22 ~~~

Lets be honest here. If you can afford the fees, you will be able to get on to postgraduate courses with a reasonable degree. OK you fill in the application forms and send them off. I know people with MBAs and that is what they did. Some places will be harder to get into than others but this is true of all courses. Your best bet is to look on the internet for/ send off for some prospectuses

Answer 2Application procedures are not that different from equivelent US schools; most programs do require the GRE or GMAT (whichever is applicable for field of study). My own knowledge is limited to MA/MPhil admissions at a couple of UK unis, but from my sample, letters of recomendation were required. I don't recall that a personal statement was required; there may have been a writing sample requested, but don't recall at this point. John is correct in that for non UK or EU students, ability to pay full fees is a key consideration for admission to many UK graduate programs; this is not to say that flatly unqualified applicants will be admitted, or that the top schools will relax their own admission standards (Oxbridge/LSE/etc. are highly competitive even in regards to international graduate admissions).
