I bought a 360 last February and got the extended warranty from Toys R Us and it cost $ for a 2 yr service plan. I haven't had to use it since mine has worked well and haven't have many problems but my friend had a warranty from Circuit City and his wouldn't play games like a few months after he got it and he was able to get the full purchase price including tax for his system and was able to put that towards the new elite version and just paying the difference. So it worked well for him.

the warranty price will vary depending on which store you buy it from. best buy only has a two year replacement warranty, depending on which 360 you get, even those prices differ. the premium's warranty is $ and the elite's is $ they will not cover physical damage, water damage, or if it is lost/stolen. anyother problems it has, all u really have to do is bring it back with everything it came with, and they will exchange it for you.
